Auto Safety Tips
HOW TO REDUCE THE RISK OF VEHICLE THEFT
Park in well-lit areas where possible
Lock all valuables in the trunk
Completely close and lock doors and windows
Keep garage door opener out of sight.
When parking on the street do not leave garage opener in the vehicle
Do not leave insurance documentation inside a vehicle when unattended.
Do not keep spare keys in your car
INVEST IN AUTO THEFT PREVENTION
Consider the following options to deter and prevent automobile crime
IMMOBILIZER – A system that can remotely immobilize a vehicle upon command
STEERING WHEEL LOCK – Prevents the steering wheel from turning
TIRE/WHEEL LOCKS – Device that wraps around tire/wheel to immobilize vehicle
ELECTRONIC ALARMS
VEHICLE TRACKING SYSTEMS – A transmitter on the vehicle that enables a vehicle to be electronically monitored
