Sgt. Kelly Joiner has been a member of the Abbotsford Police Department since 2000.  As a Constable, Kelly worked in the Patrol Section, Traffic Enforcement Unit, Collision Reconstruction Unit, and the Integrated Road Safety Unit.

Kelly was promoted to Sergeant in 2011 and was a Patrol supervisor until she was seconded to the Justice Institute of British Columbia in 2014.  She was the Assessment Centre Manager and then became the Advanced Training Program Manager for the Police Academy.

In 2018, Kelly returned to the Abbotsford Police Department to supervise a Patrol shift for a year before she was transferred to her current position as the Sergeant for the Community Police Office.  In this role, Sgt. Joiner supervises the Youth Squad, Crime Prevention Section, Homeless Liaison Officer and the Mental Health Unit.  Her current assignment aligns with the vision of the BCCPA and supports the mission to improve community safety through awareness and education.
